School Tour to Tanagh
We were lucky enough to get to go to Tanagh for our school tour this year! We did archery, frisbee golf, electronic orienteering, the low ropes course, canoeing and last but not least, races down the slippery slide! We had a great time from start to finish.

Woolly Hat Ornaments
Using wool, part of a kitchen roll tube and cotton wool, Fourth Class made little woolly hat ornaments! Some will use them as hats for their elves at home and others attached some string so that they can hang them from their Christmas trees.

Fourth Class have done an amazing job over the past four weeks learning about and researching life in Ireland in the 19th Century. At the end of their topic they wrote some fantastic reports.

Under the Hawthorn Tree
Fourth Class placed themselves in the shoes of Eily from our class novel ‘Under the Hawthorn Tree.’ They wrote a diary entry for a very emotional day from the book and they all did an absolutely fantastic job.

Science Week - Cloud in a Jar
Today in geography we learnt about the different types of clouds - Cirrus, Cumulus, Nimbus, Stratus and Cumulonimbus! We then linked this to science and made clouds in jars using boiling water, hairspray and ice. It was a great success!

Today we investigated the pushing force of water in science. We predicted what we thought would happen, carried out the experiment and then recorded our findings.
Parallelogram Hunt!
Today we learnt about the different types of and the properties of parallelograms. After some discussion, we went on a parallelogram hunt around the school to find a range of them in our school environment.
