Author Visit - Louise Flanagan
We have been reading ‘Dragonterra’ by Louise Flanagan in First and Second Class. Louise heard about the love one of our pupils has of the book series on the Monaghan Library podcast and so she paid us a visit! We got to listen to her read, ask her questions and explore the objects that feature in her book.
History
While learning about our personal and family history, we brought in evidence of our own past. We listened to each other share stories and compared similarities and differences.
Geography
After discussing our own links with our local community, we got in contact with a Second Class in a different area of Ireland to find out about their links with their local community! Huge thanks to Boolavogue NS in Co. Wexford for letting us quiz them on their links with their local area :)
