Engineers Week 2022
We became engineers this week. We planned and constructed some cool birds nests.
DSPCA
We had a great chat with Anne from the DSPCA. Anne told us about all of the hard work she carries out to help save and protect all sorts of animals.
We learned that we can help protect animals by recycling properly, not littering and treating all bugs and animals with respect.
Anne also took time to answer some of our questions. We loved seeing ourselves on the big screen!

Wellbeing Week 2022
We had lots of fun celebrating Wellbeing Week in 2nd and 3rd Class.
We took part in yoga classes, carried out some mindfulness, wrote poems, played board games, bubble breathing, went on nature walks and even enjoyed some yummy hot chocolate.

Athletics on the Track!
For the month of January we are learning some new athletic skills. We have been sprinting, jumping hurdles, competing in relays and throwing the shot put.
Fun in the Snow!
We had lots of fun playing in the snow on Friday the 7th of January! Check out our socially distancing snowpeople!!
We had lots of fun and games in the lead up to Christmas. We had a visit from a naughty elf, we created some beautiful art work and we even entered 'The Cube'!

Birthday Wishes
Birthday wishes to Frances who looks after us all everyday. She is so kind and caring and we are so lucky she is in our classroom!

National Tree Day
We have been learning all about native Irish trees this week. We went on a nature walk and discovered lots of lovely trees in our school environment. We planted a native cherry tree in the school garden. Then we created some leaf art!
Mindfulness Jars
We enjoyed our mindfuless lesson with Mrs Johnston. We learned about different types of breathing, including Belly Breathing, High 5 Breathing and Shape Breathing. It is very important that we are kind to our minds.
